Beautiful, old farmhouse, surrounded by nature, ideal for a peaceful holiday or for hiking, with a huge lawn and fenced-in woods.
The farmhouse has a priceless architectural and cultural history: the house was home to partisans during the Resistance, as evidenced by the plaque and the partisans' own writings. Furthermore, the cylindrical structure next to the house appears, according to records, to have been an ancient secular chapel.
The space
There are 2 accommodations available for guests: an independent rustic house or a two-room apartment, for up to 10 guests.
Both have a fully equipped kitchen, a full bathroom, and a sleeping area. Heating is provided by a wood stove with plenty of freshly cut firewood available free of charge. The water is spring water.

The two-room apartment is located on the ground floor with a private entrance. It comprises an entrance hall with kitchenette, a bedroom (with a double bed), and a bathroom. It is suitable for two people, but can accommodate up to four guests with a sofa bed.
Guest access
To get to the house you need to take a dirt road (about 1.5km), then it's a 5/10 minute walk (or you can drive right up to the house but only if you have an off-road vehicle).
If you do not have a suitable car and if the owners are present, they can easily come and pick you up with their vehicle wherever you deem appropriate to stop, to transport your material or even provide a shuttle for you (you need to check the availability of the vehicles first).

How to arrive

From Gattorna, take the turnoff for NEIRONE. Pass NEIRONE and CORSIGLIA, and continue towards Roccatagliata.

Shortly after, you reach the second fork and take the left turn, where the road becomes a dirt road (there's a sign for 'FAGGIO ROTONDO'). From here, about 1.5 km of dirt road begins.
you then come across a 3rd fork and a 4th fork in a sharp bend.
You can park here if you want: from here it's another 5-minute drive or 20-minute walk.
Guests typically continue onward and come across another sign for Faggio Rotondo and a parking lot (you can reach the house from this uphill path, but it's only for off-road vehicles). If you don't have an off-road vehicle, continue to the end of the road and park there (so another car can maneuver).
After parking, walk back to the red mailbox and continue up the last hill (from here it's a 5/10 minute walk).

Other things to keep in mind
Dogs are allowed (€20 per stay per pet), but we ask that their waste be collected and, if possible, that they do their business outside the fenced area.
As per regional law, the kitchen includes pots and pans, but no food. Therefore, you should bring everything you need for cooking.
The nearest restaurants and supermarkets are approximately 10km away (25/30 minutes by car).
